During these few chapters he writes about the rape and how it happened. In chapter 12 he writes about when he gets transformed from Jackson to Riverside correctional facility. While he is there he tells about how it is run a and how it looks like inside and outside where he sleeps and everything about it. Also Parsell tells about his ID number and if the number is smaller then you have maybe been there for a while. But if the number is more then you’ve been there not that long. Some of things about his cells where he sleeps how he feels in it. When he goes to the lunch room and he meets a couple of guys who he later knows that they are bad people.
The guys are slide step, red,and chet . During there he meets] they talk about a drink that has that could get them buzzed. The first time he tasted it he said that it tasted a little bitter and he didn’t like it at first. But by the second drink he got used to the biter taste. In the drink there was a fruit that is the real part that could get you buzz and even dizzy. But after the second cup he became dizzy almost fainted chet, the older fellow took him to his room along with slide step and red and all gang reaped him. When it was over he felt disgusted with himself that he didn’t know what to expect to do it with a guy. He tries to block out the thought but somehow always comes back and he re-lives it all over again.

Reaction

My thoughts about him getting raped must be horrible especially because he is a guy and you barley ever hear a guy getting raped. I had a feeling that those two were planning to do something horrible but no that bad. When I read that part I was so surprised at the detail he gave and it really felt like I could feel his pain somehow. The coin toss was not necessary I really don’t get the whole point of that it basically means that he is his property for the time being there. That must be the hardest time in his life that he goes through. I cant imaged the feeling he must be feeling after it is all done
