Summary
so far in the story t.j talks about his days in camp dearborn, his mother father and the most important person in his life his brother ricky. He writes about the time he spent with him wven though he is about five years older than him. His parents got divorced because they were fighting all the time so he thought that it would be better if they should get a divorvce. The author also talks about the time that his brother ricky went away to jail and a reformed school and how he was saying that it was better than home. The reason why he went jail is because he robbed a store and was arrested he served his time but put on probation. After he got out on bail a day after he was sentence again because he violated his propabtion.
Quote
"i was too aashamed to admit it at the time, but the fact that she was a black woman, or that she had on waytoo much make-up had nothing to do with it. It was because she was a woman" This means that he is gay before he was to go to his sentence hearing but he too afaraid to admit it to any one.
Reactions
My reaction this this auto biograpghy is that this so far he is just goes back and forth with everything. when he was talking to about the jail holding experience he went back to the time when he was with his stepmother sharon and how he said that she could discipline him because she wasnt his mother. also when he is the hoding cell he taks about gym and how he would just get an F like he does in gym class in school. He also that when he was talking about this that he has afraid of getting naked in front of everyon else. another example of this is when he refers back to the neighborhood how the whites live in the suburbs and in jail there is only three whites and the rest black.
